About the Course

Phonics is a modern technique used to reading and writing with the help of sounds instead of the conventional whole word method. It can be thought of as the visual representation of the sounds we produce. Audio plus video (AV) is a way more power sensory tool than just video. Research shows that whatever we learn in AV format gets registered faster and for longer in our mind than any other technique.

At DUX, we follow Jolly Phonics to teach this art to kids. The course is aimed at teaching the students how to pronounce the words correctly and then how to spell correct by just listening to the sounds.

All the topics are divided in 50 sessions [2 sessions every week] and cover the following:

  • All 26 basic sounds (a - z)
  • Vowels and long phonetics
  • Syllables
  • Sight words
  • Blends
  • Digraphs
  • Long vowel
  • Trigraphs
  • Contractions
  • Diphthongs
  • Silent letters

Learning Plan:

  • Non-recorded live classes - LIVE lectures in vernacular language ensuring student engagement and understanding of the concepts. Recorded lectures available for revision purpose only
  • Regular assignments - Assignments to help practice and develop problem-solving skills. (Problem discussions in the class)
